What's new for 2013?

I don't make New Year's resolutions particularly, but like many in January, I do take time to to set some basic goals for the coming year. We have noted interest in rings, and plan to add brooches and some more personalized jewelry items to our line. We also aim to include some home and garden art, but have some studio reorganizing to do.  Each year color trendsetter Pantone announces the "it" colors for the coming year, pictured above. You will find these colors reflected in jewelry, clothing, furniture, fiber and home accessories. Knowing what is going to be popular is helpful in putting together some color combos for our shop and shows. The color that is being singled out as "the" color of the year is emerald. I love that color, for jewelry and clothing in particular. It's bold, but looks good on almost everyone. And lucky for us it's the color of some of our upcycled bottle glass bead pieces!
